Ines Tramarin

PRESIDENT

Hey! I’m Ines, and I’m a third year English and Social Anthropology student. I love baking, hosting dinner parties with friends, and going on walks by the coast. I am so grateful to be the president of EmpowHer this year and truly cannot wait for what this year has in store for our committee and its members. I have always loved the values EmpowHer holds to heart - community, wellbeing, and inclusivity - and will feel great joy in continuing to uphold these in my role. One thing I am super excited about for this year is hosting an EmpowHer trip - hopefully it all works out! I cannot wait to meet you all - please make sure you come say hi at our events and I hope to see you soon <3

Hey! My name is Riya and I'm a third year economics and international relations student and very excited to be your next secretary!! EmpowHer has been such an amazing space for me these past two years and I'm proud to call these absolutely amazing women both on committee and in the society at large some of my closest friends. I'm always up for a chat about literally anything so please feel free to reach out and hope to meet many of you throughout the upcoming year :)))

VICE PRESIDENT

Hi! My name is Grace and I'm a third-year biology student from Northern Ireland. I'm so excited to be the Vice-President for EmpowHer this year, meaning I'll be responsible for all the admin tasks, looking after membership sign-ups and helping ensure the smooth running of the society as a whole! I'm so excited to be working with this community, it is such a loving and comforting society to be a part of and I can't wait to work with such a wonderful group of people! I look forward to seeing you all next year for another wonderful year of EmpowHer!

Hello!!! I’m Evie a third year studying Russian and Arabic (yikes)! I joined EmpowHER in my first year and it was the best decision I made. I love this society, it’s so unique and an incredible space to meet amazing people and also have a go at some really cool things. I’m treasurer this year so please please reach out with any questions re membership!! This society is an absolute core part of my university life and I am so excited for EmpowHER 2024/25.

EVENTS COORDINATOR

Hi! I’m Lauren, a third year studying English. I am one of the social events coordinators this year alongside Lily. We’ll be in charge of planning so many fun events throughout the year, including the Galentine’s Ball! I joined Empower as a first year and its always been such a positive, safe and welcoming environment! This society is truly amazing, and I’m so excited that I get to create events that bring together Empowher’s community!

Hi! My name is Emma. I’m a third year International Relations student from Washington, D.C. This year I’ll be one of the large group coordinators alongside Piya. We’ll be planning fun and exciting workouts for the Empowher community, hoping to foster a supportive, friendly environment at all the events. Hey! I'm Lily and I'm one of your two event coordinators for 24/25 A little bit about me- I'm from California and I'm going into my third year studying molecular biology. Alongside my lovely co-events coordinator, Lauren, I hope to throw a lot of fun events this coming year! I'm especially excited about Galentine's ball, it's the main way I was introduced to EmpowHer, and we have a lot of big ideas for next year! EmpowHer is such a welcoming community with so many amazing people and I'm so grateful to be a part of it. Hope to see you at some events soon!

LARGE GROUP COORDINATOR 

Hii, I’m Piya. I’m a second year studying Psychology and Economics. I am one of the large group coordinators for this year. I wanted to be a part of the Empowerher committee as my beliefs closely align with those of this society’s. My role entails organising two fun workouts each month, with modifications to suit everyone’s fitness level and needs. I look forward to seeing everyone at our large group workouts to get a quick sweat in and also meet other like-minded individuals. Can’t wait to see everyone!

Amy Kerslake

BUDDY COORDINATOR

Hi! I’m Amy, and I’m going into my fourth year studying biology. I’m one of empowHER’s buddy coordinators, so I’ll be part of the matching process of members with common interests. I will also be organising events for buddy pairings to meet in the hopes of fostering new friendships within the St Andrews community. I have loved being an empowHER member for the past year due to the supportive and welcoming energy of the empowHER community, which encouraged me to apply for committee. I am so excited for this upcoming year with all of these amazing people <33

Violet Melcher

SMALL GROUP COORDINATOR

I’m Violet, a third year Earth Science student. This past year I was buddy coordinator and I’m excited to serve as small group coordinator this year alongside Elise. We have some pretty big plans in the next couple months, reorganising some structural aspects of the scheme in order to make it as approachable as possible for all members. Small groups will run on a weekly basis with a couple different workout options in order to fit more individualised needs. I’m really excited for this year as I love Empowher and all it has to offer and i’m grateful to have another opportunity to be on committee. Hi! I’m Lily, and I’m a third year computer science student from Edinburgh. Im very excited to be one of your buddy coordinators for the next year, and get involved pairing all of you buddies up. I’m looking forward to helping everyone in the scheme get more involved with their buddy, and form amazing friendships and connections. I love Empowher for the amazing community and hope you do too! If you need any help or just want to make a new friend in the next year, I love meeting new people <3’

Hey ! My name is Libby and I am one of the sponsorships and collaborations officers for EmpowHer this year. I am currently a second year studying Geography and International Relations, and I am from Edinburgh, just down the road. My role is to organise collaboration events with other societies at the university and to form relationships with businesses in town on behalf of EmpowHer. I am so excited to work alongside all of the other amazing members of the EmpowHer committee, and to meet all of the lovely society members !! Hopefully it will be the best year yet

Hey I’m Sara, I’m a 3rd year Psychology with Biology student from Scotland. This is my second year part of empowHER and for this upcoming year I am one of the sponsorship and collaboration officers for the society. This role is primarily responsible for organising collaborative events with various other societies and local businesses within St Andrews for all empowHER members to hopefully fully embrace and enjoy. I’m so excited to work with this fabulous committee to continue previous committees work to further empowHER in St Andrews and to continue to help creating a comfortable woman-centred space :)))

LAUREN KOSKY

WELLBEING + INCLUSION OFFICER

My name is Lauren and I am wellbeing and inclusivity officer for 2024-5. My job involves lots of things such as making sure everyone feels included, that language is always gender neutral and ensuring that all workouts have modifications. My most important job though is my weekly office hours in which any member can come and talk to me about anything. As a friendly face I can accompany you to events and be a friend once you’re there to make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves – everything is more fun with a friend – and you can always reach out on my dedicated Empowher Instagram. Outside of Empowher I am an English student in my fourth year who loves reading, running, and baking, so I am always up for a chat over a slice of cake (or two!). Empowher is a welcome and positive space for all, I am incredibly proud to be a representative of such a great committee, and I hope you love it as much as I do.

GENERAL EVENTS COORDINATOR

Hi! My name is Natasha and I am a third year studying Art History and Relgious Studies. I am the General Event Coodinator on comminttee this year. My role is to support large group, social and collaboration coordinators to plan and run events, while also organising several other events throughout the year. I am excited to contribute to such a wonderful society which is not only welcoming and supportive, but a social and fun space. I look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the amazing events we have planned for this year!
